The Jabal Akhdar hospitality market is currently limited to three international branded resorts offering a total of 453 keys, alongside a selection of locally branded hotels, serviced apartments, and villas. These properties are primarily concentrated in the Saiq area, reflecting the early-stage development of the destination.
Hotel development in Jabal Akhdar is relatively nascent, with limited existing supply. Demand for hotels originates predominantly from international FIT travelers, as well as regional and local weekend leisure segments, attracted by the unique natural environment, cultural and adventure opportunities, and lower temperatures, particularly during the summer months. The development of Jabal Akhdar is a key focus of Oman’s 2040 tourism vision and opportunities exist across all categories of hotel asset class.
The development is planned on a 136,220 sqm site at an elevation of approximately 3,000 meters. The project includes 250 five-star hotel rooms, 125 private pool villas, a signature restaurant and bar, and a destination rehabilitation facility, positioning it as a premium hospitality and wellness destination.
